I am currently happily running Torrentflux 2.3 with the Bittornado client on my Kuro. I am now looking for a way to queue and easily download files via http and ftp.

I have been successful using wget from the command prompt; however, this requires the use of screen and manually logging in to start the transfer and it doesn't account for the queuing.

Does anyone know of anything that has a web based frontend where I can assign links to download and also include a username and password which would then spawn wgets to perform the download.

I've done a fair amount of searching on this topic, but I have only found download managers which control access to files on a webserver that other users are downloading from you.

I have seen that a mod to Torrentflux 2.1 with the transmission client has a very basic wget frondend, but I would rather not install it since I don't want transmission.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Here is one but havent tried it

Claros Downloader
Claros Downloader is a highly customizable, multi-threaded, Web-based downloader manager. Users can download files to their desktop or corporate server, from wherever they are.

Looks like it does the job you are looking for

On Edit:
looks like it java based though... but im sure there should be a php one somewhere...

Thanks for looking into this. Claros does look pretty cool, but it is a lot more than I am looking for. Being Java based does add some overhead I'd like to not have if possible. I'll keep looking and see about a PHP or CGI based solution.

yup, phpget works fine

you enter the url with and optional filename and a password to stop random missuse

but it is a bit basic, looks like you need to wait for the d/l to complete... ?
rather than a download manager that you can view the progress

Thanks, this looks like what I've been looking for. I'll need to make sure it's working correctly, but if so I'll get to writing a small queuing system for this.

I tried, works fine but I have a problem with logs file. It seems that it doesn't create "all_logs" that is a logs file used by admin module to show who downloaded what. Simply it never create this file, while "temp_log" and file log are created correctly. Is it work for you? Bye!
