When the Kuro Pro comes out does anyone think they could get debian to install on it, the extra CPU power and RAM performance should really make this into an excellent File Server or a replacement for my Kuro IMAP email server that I run at the minute.

Any news of the ARM9 performance against the PPC especially in Spamassasin.

I have heard the new Kurobox Pro put the HG s to shame. For one the Gigabit will actually work much better at much less CPU. Also the proc itself is a bit better so I tihnk all in all the Pro will be a win.

Why will the network use less CPU, I have not really looked into the networking hardware of the two boxes, does the HG require a lot of software / CPU help? Does the Pro have offloading?

expect the performance to be similar to the Linkstation Pro.

you can see the performance at the NAS-charts at tomshardware.com

Is there an advantage over the freelink version?
