Hey Ladies, Gents,

I've installed the distro thats supplied by Buffalo. How its kinda bare, which is cool but I'm not sure howto go about installing my own apps. Where do I get kernel sources specific to this bad boy so I can compile my own goods.

I'm digging through docs n such but I can seem to find the answer.

If I can do that much I would be ok but if not I would like to switch to a distro with portage system like debian or gentoo.

Hi,
check here to know how to install a debian system on the kurobox (warning : you should have not installed another system on the kurobox or you will need a serial console access to change some parameters in boot process).
To compile your own kernel, check this
See you,

If you can take out the drive and mount it on a linux workstation you can just delete the contents of sda2 and untar a rootfs in it's place. I did this several times to put freelink then gentoo then switched back to freelink.
